The next iPhone, the iPhone 16, is set to come out later this year with some exciting improvements. According to Apple expert Jeff Pu, it will have a faster A18 processor, marking the first-time base-model iPhones will use the more efficient 3-nanometer fabrication. This upgrade promises better performance.
The iPhone 16 will boast 8GB of RAM, up from the current 6GB in the iPhone 15, enhancing its multitasking capabilities. The Pro versions, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature the A18 Pro chip for even more advanced performance.
In terms of connectivity, the iPhones 16 and 16 Plus will use the Qualcomm X70 modem, while the Pro models will feature the Qualcomm X75 modem. The exciting addition of Wi-Fi 6E support across all models promises faster speeds and better network performance. Additionally, there's a possibility that the Pro devices might even support Wi-Fi 7.
The camera on the iPhone 16 Pro will see a significant upgrade with the Ultra-Wide camera jumping from 12MP to 48MP, promising better picture quality. However, it's important to note that the second beta of the iOS 17.3 and iPad OS 17.3 updates has been temporarily pulled due to a boot loop issue. Apple is actively working to resolve this before the official release.
